My Sentiments Exactly!

I could not have said this better myself. Go here and read this article. I'm not bitter about the holiday, I just have issue with a holiday that has the tendency (in one way or another) to make people feel rejected. Why should you wait for a particular day to show someone how much you care or feel pressured into celebrating sentiments that may not exist yet (if at all).

zojxdhCan I get an Amen on that! Totally agree that tomorrow's date should be abolished and for the good of ALL MANKIND! Of course if I was not single I might feel a little different, but the article is right on about even couples having difficulty "beating" the year before, or finding the perfect gift, blah, blah blah..I cannot think of a single date that causes so many problems for couples and singles alike.

Oops! Disregard the secret code letters at the beginning of that post.

I've been on both sides of this fence and the stress of exactly how to handle the holiday made almost as unenjoyable as the times when I've been "dateless".

The last Valentine's that I had someone, I was already sensing things were on the downhill, but being the nice guy that he was, I figured he wouldn't break up with me before Valentine's Day, so it felt like we were celebrating something to "make nice", but the whole night, I kept wondering how long after Valentine's day he would wait to end things. Strangely...he waited a couple of months. Why didn't I end thing then sooner? Stubborness. He started it, he was going to have to end it.

Just wanted to wish you a Happy V day despite my feelings towards the whole thing.
