Beware!

What do you get when you mate a cricket with a spider (besides a potentially hazardous situation)? You get this!
A mutant cricket-spider that runs away in the blink of an eye if you get too close and starts jumping at your when you try to hit it. Be warned; don’t try to terminate its existence with a mere shoe. You will want a fly swatter with a very long handle. And just because it lies on its back and doesn’t move does not mean that it is dead. It’s only trying to fool you until you walk away to get something to scoop it up with and then it will make a mad dash to a near by hiding place. Multiple attempts will need to be made to ensure that is has in deed been exterminated from this earth.

Oh my gosh...what a horror! Last week I was sitting in my office minding my own business when all of the sudden I heard the rustling of little feet and thought, naturally, "Great, a mouse." I mean the hospital is ancient and crawling with all nature of things. I turned around and to my absolute horror I saw the largest roach I have ever seen (and I have seen some big ones in Central America). I had to call in back up to deal with that sucker. EW.

Wow! Really? I have never seen one of these things. Will you catch the next one and bring it by my house? I need to see this with my own eyes. HA!

There better not be another one! But sure, I'll bring one by if I ever catch another and I'll try to make sure it's still alive so you can experiece the joy of trying to catch it. =o)

That might be the grossest thing I've ever seen! The two things I freak out about the most combined! Ick!
BTW, I'm confused about the party comment on your other post? Are you celebrating milestones at work?

The cricket spider, that's what we call them too! When we lived in a townhouse a couple of years ago, there was a closet outside on the back patio full of them! It was the most terrifying thing I have ever seen in my life!

I have recently learned it was probably a camel cricket (I think that's what Jay said) and that they normally live in dark places (like under storage areas). Mandy, I think I would loose it if I had a closet full of them. I was having a hard time with one.
